June 20, 2020 – The Philippine Society of Information Technology Educators Central Visayas Region conducted a Webinar entitled “MOODLE: An LMS Workshop”.

With the emergence of the ‘New Normal’, the educational system of the entire world has drastically changed prompting immediate attention and thus was given an urgent stature by the officers of PSITE Central Visayas. As an immediate response, PSITE Central Visayas held the LMS workshop to equip our IT teachers with the needed skills to manage a Learning Management System specifically MOODLE, a free and open-source LMS platform which is one of the more important tools for the delivery of education in this new world situation.

Over 50 individuals signed up for the event which was facilitated by Dr. Larmie Feliscuzo, the Chairman of the IT Department of Cebu Institute of Technology University through the Zoom video conferencing platform.

The event received a positive response from the participants such that it piqued their interest in the platform. Some of them even push their learning efforts deeper down through self-study for the more advanced features of the platform.
